Outdoor Kindergarten for the 2011-2012 School Year
Our daily rhythm emphasizes the order of events in our consistent routine. Children find comfort and security knowing this predictable sequence. Our four-hour school day allows the teachers and children time to fully explore areas of interest and to share a lunch time meal together in addition to our afternoon snack.

- Drop Off Noon
- Free Choice Outdoor Play
- Picnic Lunch
- Preset Art Activity (Art or Journal Activity)
- Daily Nature Walk (to garden and wetland)
- Snack in our “secret spot”
- Circle Time (drink hot tea and share observations from our secret spots.)
- Cooperative Games that teach Nature Skills
- Garden-Based Learning and Nature Exploration
- Circle Time (Story or Puppet Show, Candle Song and Goodbye)
- Pick Up 4:00 pm
